The Canada international appeared all set to join Real Madrid this summer.
But Cadena COPE reports that Real Madrid have decided not to sign Davies.
The Spanish giants have decided to instead invest in left-back Miguel Gutierrez, 22.
Gutierrez belongs to rivals Girona, but Real Madrid have an option to buy him back. They intend to trigger the option and then consider Davies when he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2025.
