LIVERPOOL are weighing up a shock swoop for Anthony Gordon, it's been claimed.
Gordon has flourished in his first full season with Newcastle United, scoring 11 goals and racking up 11 assists for The Magpies.

The 23-year-old's fine form this campaign has seen Gareth Southgate reward him with his first two England caps.
And his displays have reportedly caught the eye of Premier League big boys Liverpool.
That's according to The Daily Star, who claim the Reds want to make the Liverpudlian one of the first signings of the post-Jurgen Klopp era.
They claim the Merseysiders will look to test Newcastle's resolve to keep the England international.
It's said it would take an offer of at least £100m for the Magpies to entertain the prospect of selling Gordon.
But the possibility of balancing their books so as not to be in violation of Financial Fair Play rules could potentially see Toon chiefs come to the negotiating table.
Newcastle signed Gordon from Everton last January for a fee in the region of £45m.
Gordon came up the ranks at Goodison Park but is said to be a lifelong Liverpool fan, a fact the Kop club reportedly believe can use to their advantage in their pursuit of his services.
Gordon reacted angrily to being substituted in Newcastle's 2-1 win over Brentford last weekend but apologised to Howe for his fiery response.
Howe said: “Part of me understood why he acted like he did.
"I didn’t condone it – you don’t want to see any player react like that because, suddenly, you will have a team that looks like it doesn’t have the discipline that it needs.
“I made a decision based on Anthony going down holding his ankle, based on the fact there were seconds left on the clock, to try to do what I felt I needed to do to win the game.
“He needed to accept that and, if he had an issue, come and see me in private. That’s how I felt he should have reacted in that situation.
"Yes, he accepted he was overly emotional.
“But it’s a young player learning about the game and learning about us at the same time. I’ve got no issue with him.”
Newcastle will be back in action on Wednesday, travelling to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.
