England football fans jetting across the continent this summer for Euro 2024 have been advised by UEFA to stay in “the most dangerous slum" in Germany that's packed with "zombies"

England fans have been advised to book their hotels for Euro 2024 in a Frankfurt slum where "zombies" roam.
UEFA have marked out hotels in Bahnhofsviertel, the area surrounding Frankfurt's railway station, as a base for English fans. According to The Sun, the area has been branded as “the most dangerous slum in Germany”, with its streets packed with dealers and junkies.
The area is so rough, road sweepers are given police protection, US firms urge employees to take taxis for sort journeys and two schools have begged local authorities for a dedicated security force.
Speaking to The Sun, Peter Postleb, who was an adviser to the Frankfurt mayor, said: "I don’t think it’s OK of UEFA to make a recommendation for fans to stay in this area. Passers-by walking through the Bahnhofsviertel have been robbed and threatened.
"Crack users who take it for a long time, they all have some kind of damage in their psyche and are very aggressive...Situations can quickly escalate. As a passer-by, you unfortunately quickly come into conflict with the scene, which has become very aggressive. You are harassed and pushed."
However, according to the report, local police are very aware of the problem and they have been carrying out raids.
UEFA advice for British fans reads: "You’ll discover a variety of accommodation in close proximity to the Central Station or throughout the entire Bahnhofsviertel area. From here, you can easily and conveniently access other key transportation hubs within the city.
“This makes Bahnhofsviertel an especially appealing choice if you’re considering trips to explore the city or its surroundings.”

Local police face a race against time to clean up the area before Germany host Scotland to kick off the tournament on 14 June.
The Three Lions' campaign will start two days later on 16 June when they face Serbia in Gelsenkirchen.
England's sole clash in Frankfurt will come on 20 June when they face Denmark before moving over to Cologne for their final group stage match with Slovenia.
