Jesse Lingard has been making friends with South Korea's answer to Kim Kardashian
A South Korean model who is regularly compared to Kim Kardashian was thrilled to see Jesse Lingard send her a message on Instagram.
The former Manchester United and West Ham United ace made the surprising move to Asia to join K-League side FC Seoul. His move over to the Far East ended a miserable spell in the free agency wilderness.
However, it appears the ex-England international is already looking to make friends, as he slid into the direct messages of a popular model and influencer known as 'Applee'. Considering her reaction, it was safe to say the model was delighted with what she saw in her message request folder.
After screenshotting the short, but sweet message Lingard sent her which simply said "Hi", Applee uploaded the grab to her 1.9million followers on Instagram.
Alongside the message, she said: "Wow, I am a huge fan of Jesse Lingard, and he liked my photo and sent me a DM. I'm so honoured!" .

Applee's glamorous lifestyle, daring outfits and regular media appearances has seen her become known as South Korea's answer to Kardashian.
In addition, her bottom, which is purported to measure at a hefty 46-inches, has also seen fans draw resemblance to the former wife of Kanye West.

While Lingard may be interested in meeting the influencer one day, he has made it clear his priority is breathing new life into his career. In an interview with The Athletic, he said: "The last eight months were hard.
"My mindset is to never give up. I knew I needed to sign for a club in January and I was training every day, with a strict programme throughout the week.
"I had my own personal trainer and am in good condition — physically, spiritually and mentally. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I know what's best for me and my career.
"I want to make the K League global and do well here. All I want to do is get back on the pitch and show people what I can do."
