Roma could splash the cash for Lukaku

Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku is poised for a potential transfer to Roma in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to Calciomercato.

Lukaku, 30, arrived at Chelsea from Inter Milan in 2021 for €115 million but was subsequently loaned out after one season. During his loan spell at Roma, he has showcased his prowess with 18 goals in 35 appearances this season.

Despite his contract with Chelsea running until 2026, Lukaku appears to have no future at Stamford Bridge, opening the door for a transfer. Roma reportedly holds a €44 million option to secure Lukaku's services permanently, but they aim to negotiate a reduced fee of around €35 million. Additionally, Lukaku's wages could pose a challenge for the Italian club.

The qualification of Roma for the Champions League next season, with the team currently sitting in 5th place, just four points off the top four, is likely to play a crucial role in determining whether the deal will materialize or not.

Edwards set for Liverpool return to lead sporting restructuring

Michael Edwards is poised to return to Liverpool, spearheading the club's restructuring alongside Richard Hughes, who will join as sporting director.

Reports from Sky Sports News indicate that Edwards will assume a prominent role within Fenway Sports Group, overseeing football operations at the Premier League club while also handling other external duties. Although there are some final details to iron out, a deal is expected to be concluded in the forthcoming days.

Initially hesitant, Edwards turned down an offer from Liverpool's owners to oversee the transition post-Jurgen Klopp. However, face-to-face discussions with FSG in Boston have paved the way for his return. The proposed role for Edwards is broader than initially envisioned, offering more significant responsibilities compared to other opportunities he declined previously.

Marquinhos might leave PSG this summer

Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos might be permitted to depart in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to L'Equipe.

Marquinhos, aged 29, has encountered injury challenges throughout this season, leading to the emergence of Lucas Beraldo and Lucas Hernandez as notable performers in his absence.

In preparation for the summer transfer window, PSG is reportedly interested in acquiring a new center-back, with Lille OSC’s Leny Yoro being among the potential targets. This indicates that Marquinhos could be surplus to requirements and could potentially be sold to make room for the new addition.

McKennie ready to return! Allegri shares positive update

Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed Weston McKennie has recovered from his injury and hinted he could start against Atalanta.

"McKennie has recovered, if he is well he will start," informed Allegri.

Newcastle keen to get Kelly & Neto

Newcastle United is reportedly interested in acquiring Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly and Wolves winger Pedro Neto, as per The Daily Mail.

While Newcastle enjoys support from Saudi Arabia's PIF, they must adhere to the Premier League's financial regulations. Therefore, pursuing Kelly, whose contract is set to expire in the summer, aligns with their financial strategy of targeting free agents.

On the other hand, the potential transfer of Neto would command a fee of approximately £60 million. This hefty price tag hasn't deterred interest from other Premier League clubs, with both Liverpool and Arsenal also eyeing the Portuguese international for a potential transfer.

Contract talks between Gallagher and Chelsea has stalled

According to Football Insider, English midfielder Conor Gallagher and Chelsea's contract talks have stalled which comes as a huge boost for Tottenham Hotspur.

With the club's current financial constraint due to the losses they suffered between 2022 and 2023, the Blues could consider offloading some players in the summer with Gallagher being one of them.

Man Utd enter race to sign Lille defender

According to Fichajes, Manchester United are all set to compete with rivals Liverpool to secure the signature of Lille defender Leny Yoro in the summer.

The 18-year-old defender has performed consistently for the French club in the current season but he is reportedly linked with a move away from the club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Man Utd to compete with Chelsea to secure German defender

Manchester United are eyeing a move for Borussia Monchengladbach left-back Luca Netz, according to HITC. The Red Devils, though will face competition from fellow Premier League sides Chelsea and Newcastle United.

PSG eye move for Barca wonderkid Yamal

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing a €200m offer to sign Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal in the summer as they look to replace outgoing superstar Kylian Mbappe who will join Real Madrid, according to Marca.

Barcelona are aware of PSG's interest in their star player and it remains to be seen if they decide to sell the youngster to the French giants ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Newcastle set to make Hall's loan move permanent from Chelsea

Newcastle United are all set to make Chelsea's Lewis Hall's loan move permanent in the summer, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. The Blues expect to receive a £30m fee as profit while the Magpies see the youngster as a long-term prospect.

Ten Hag explains why Man Utd ended Reguilon loan

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed why the club decided to cut short Sergio Reguilon's loan spell after just six months.

Speaking to reporters, the Dutch manager said, "Medical staff assured me that Shaw and Malacia will both be fit in January and so you will have two left full-back. Then you have a third one, so I would always have to disappoint one full-back."

Newcastle to compete with Liverpool & Arsenal for Neto

Newcastle United are reportedly considering a £60 million move for Wolves star Pedro Neto amid transfer links with Arsenal and Liverpool, according to the Daily Mail.

Wolves value the Portuguese winger at £60m ($77m) and the 23-year-old has the 'skill, pace and work ethic' Magpies boss Eddie Howe likes.

Arsenal and Chelsea to compete for Diomande

Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea are set to compete to secure the signature of Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande, according to Team Talk.

The 20-year-old has performed consistently for the Portuguese club this season and has also drawn the attention of clubs like Newcastle United and Juventus.
