Luke Shaw urged Manchester United to be more consistent and claimed that they have to build on their performance against Liverpool.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The experienced defender, who played for the full 90 minutes in United's goalless draw against rivals Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, slammed the team for being inconsistent amid their rocky form this season.
WHAT LUKE SHAW SAID
Speaking to Betfred, the England international said: "That has to be the foundation now. Every game, whether it is at Anfield away or [at Old Trafford], it always has to be the same and I think that is where we have been lacking I think is the consistency.
"I think one game we are excellent, for example, the game against Chelsea here - we played a really good game, then we go and let ourselves down by playing Bournemouth here and losing 3-0. It's not acceptable, we can't accept that and it's something that needs to be addressed and changed very quickly because we can't keep doing this."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
After back-to-back defeats against Bournemouth and Bayern Munich Old Trafford, the draw against Jurgen Klopp's side provided much-needed confidence to the team. They also became the first club in the Premier League this season to take a point away from Liverpool at Anfield.
WHAT NEXT FOR MANCHESTER UNITED?
Ten Hag's men now head into a very busy Christmas schedule starting with facing West Ham on Saturday after which they will lock horns against a high-flying Aston Villa on Boxing Day before taking on Nottingham in their final game of the calendar year on December 30.
