Toni Kroos, centrocampista del Real Madrid, concedió una entrevista a Augsburger Allgemeine antes de marcharse a Rusia con su selección para disputar el Mundial. El jugador analizó la temporada blanca, su momento de forma y defendió a su compañero Ramos ante las últimas acusaciones que está recibiendo sobre su supuesta dureza en el terreno de juego.
Posibilidades de Alemania en Rusia: “Veo una buena mezcla aquí. Pero debemos desarrollar esa sensación de ser un equipo muy, muy difícil de superar. Eso tiene que evolucionar. Schweinsteiger, Lahm y Klose fueron, por supuesto, piedras angulares. Creo que estamos cualitativamente a la par con el equipo de 2014, tal vez incluso mejor. Solo tenemos que convertirnos en una unidad afuera y dentro del campo. Tenemos que defendernos juntos, ser incómodos al rival. Todavía hay margen de mejora. Su estado de forma: “Se necesitan unos días, lo admito. Terminas una temporada con el club con un gran éxito, es normal que caigas algo. Y después de unos días, comienza de nuevo. Pero puedo manejar eso ya".
El Mundial es una motivación: “Un Mundial es una gran motivación, de lo contrario no volvería a jugar. Eso es y sigue siendo algo especial, y por supuesto, sé que nunca antes un equipo alemán defendió el título de la Copa del Mundo".
La lesión de Salah y Ramos: “Estoy convencido de que no hubo una intención de lesionarle. Ni siquiera pitaron una falta, algo que podría haberse hecho. Ramos no es agresivo. La experiencia del pasado lo ha demostrado una y otra vez que no lo es. Me alegro de que sea nuestro capitán, y no he visto nada antideportivo".
