Transfer news & rumours LIVE: Arsenal and Newcastle to battle for Borussia Dortmund star Julian Brandt

Arsenal set to compete with Newcastle to sign Dortmund star

Arsenal and Newcastle United are all set to battle for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt in the January transfer window, according to the Mirror.

Brandt signed a new deal with the German club in the summer of 2022 that will keep him at the club until 2026. While the Premier League clubs will enquire about his availability once the window opens in the new year, it is unlikely that Dortmund would be willing to sell their star attacking midfielder.

Partey may not leave Arsenal in January

Thomas Partey who was close to leaving Arsenal in the January transfer window, has picked up yet another injury as confirmed by Mikel Arteta.

Now, Football Insider reports that amid the injury setback, the Gunners may find it difficult to offload the midfielder in the upcoming window which will also hamper their plans to sign either of Douglas Luiz or Martin Zubimendi.

Arsenal and Manchester United interested in Todibo

Arsenal and Manchester United have shown interest in signing Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo, according to Sport.

Both Premier League clubs have made inquiries about the 23-year-old defender. However, it's reported that Nice is inclined to resist offers in the upcoming January transfer window. While Nice may resist offers in January, there is a possibility that they could be open to moving Todibo in the summer transfer window.

It's worth noting that any potential future transfer fee for Todibo will see Barcelona receive 20%, adding a layer of complexity to the negotiations.

Liverpool might bid for Leeds' talent Gray

Liverpool is reportedly considering a bid for 17-year-old Leeds United talent, Archie Gray, as per the Daily Mail. Gray, son of former Leeds player Andy Gray, is versatile, capable of playing in midfield or at right-back. With 12 league appearances this season, he has contributed to Leeds' current third position in the Championship.

The talented teenager holds a contract with Leeds until 2025 and is valued between £40 million and £50 million. Liverpool faces competition from local rivals Everton and Premier League club Crystal Palace in the pursuit of Gray.

Moscardo confirms Chelsea interest

Moscardo has drawn the attention of some of European football's leading clubs, with Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea all credited with an interest in signing him as soon as possible.

According to 90min, Barcelona are the frontrunners to land the teenager while Chelsea are playing catch-up.

Manchester City's Pursuit of Lucas Paqueta Renewed

Manchester City is set to re-enter negotiations for West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta, per UOL.

The initial £80 million deal agreed upon in the summer was stalled due to an ongoing investigation into alleged betting breaches involving the 26-year-old.

Despite the setback, recent reports suggest that Man City remains resolute in securing Paquetá and is poised to present a fresh offer in the upcoming January transfer window, contingent on gaining clarity regarding the player's situation.

Manager Pep Guardiola views Paquetá as a potential long-term successor to Kevin De Bruyne. With De Bruyne's contract expiring in 2025 and the midfielder facing a hamstring problem this season, Paquetá is seen as a strategic addition to City's midfield.

Ratcliffe planning to ditch Man Utd trio in January

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is planning major changes at Manchester United in the winter and is keen to sell Jadon Sancho, Antony and Anthony Martial, according to The Sun.

The Red Devils invested heavily in all three players but none have managed to live up to their lofty price tags and Ratcliffe is eager to see their backs.
