Luis Suarez has reportedly agreed to join Lionel Messi's Barcelona reunion at Inter Miami.
Messi is one of three former Barca stars who joined David Beckham's MLS club earlier this year. Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba followed him through the door after his arrival in July.
Becks is continuing to get the band back together - as according to Spanish newspaper El Pais, a fourth member will be joining for the 2024 season. Suarez is said to heading to the States next month to complete a deal.
It will be a one-year contract with the option of an additional 12 months. The ex-Liverpool striker, 36, has been playing in Brazil for Gremio this year.
His impending reunion with Messi, who was another third of the fearsome MSN trio alongside Neymar, had fans salivating at the thought of them playing together again. One argued: "The MLS is gonna get destroyed with these pair taking the p*** out of it."
A second added: "They will carry the league." A third hailed: "It's going to be incredible." And a fourth suggested: "Neymar next..."
Suarez has been on Miami's radar since they signed Messi, and head coach Tata Martino even revealed last month they'd planned for life with and without him.
"Within our analysis of the upcoming season, and the needs we may have, we have an analysis with Luis and an analysis without Luis," he said.
"When the moment arrives to make Suarez's situation with respect to Inter Miami official, we'll be prepared to go in the corresponding direction."
Suarez formed not only a strong connection on the pitch with Messi, but also off it, and he previously admitted he "dreamed" of finishing their respective careers together. He told Uruguayan TV show Punto Penal: “It was something that we always planned when we were at Barcelona.
"And from one year to the next I went to Atletico and he went to PSG. We dreamed of it and we talked about it that after Barcelona we would go to the United States."
