Man City approached Bellingham before he joined Real Madrid
Real Madrid board member Jose Manuel Otero revealed that Jude Bellingham was approached by Manchester City in the summer before he joined Los Blancos.
The Cityzens had reportedly approached Bellingham's father but the player refused to head to the Premier League as he desperately wanted to join the Spanish giants.
Speaking on the Twitch channel of Remontada Blanca (via AS), Otero said, "They told us this the other day at lunch with Girona. People from Manchester City came to eat and told us that they had been talking to Bellingham. They said that the father (Mark Bellingham) had entertained them a little by giving them hope, but Jude said no, that he wanted to play for Real Madrid. That is happening with many players. When the prospect of signing for Real Madrid opens up to them, they forget everything else. Madrid is the best way to achieve glory.”

Spurs eyeing move for Al-Ittihad star
Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for out-of-favour Al-Ittihad star Diogo Jota in January, according to Caughtoffside.
Ange Postecoglou, who worked with Jota at Celtic, reportedly wants the player at Spurs. Jota has lost his place in Al-Ittihad's starting lineup just two months after joining the Saudi Arabian club.
