Los Angeles FC vs Monterrey Pronóstico
Los cuartos de final de la Copa de la Liga se disputarán esta semana. El LAFC se enfrentará al Monterrey el sábado por la mañana. El ganador de este partido se enfrentará al Minnesota United o al Nashville SC en la penúltima ronda. El LAFC ganó la Copa MLS 2022, lo que le permitió clasificarse automáticamente para los octavos de final de esta competición. El local ha llegado a esta instancia de manera excelente, logrando dos grandes victorias en sus dos jornadas anteriores. LAFC goleó 7-1 a Juárez en su primer partido y siguió con una victoria 4-0 sobre Real Salt Lake a mitad de semana. Con esa victoria, el LAFC amplió su récord a cinco partidos invicto en todas las competiciones, con tres victorias y dos empates. El equipo de la MLS ocupa actualmente el segundo puesto de la Conferencia Oeste después de 23 partidos, y sigue bien encarrilado en la lucha por el título, actualmente a sólo cuatro puntos del líder, el St Louis City. Sin embargo, desde entonces, no han perdido ninguno de sus tres últimos partidos de liga, con dos empates y una victoria, y llevan una racha de tres partidos ganados en casa. El LAFC sólo es ligeramente favorito en este partido.
Por otro lado, el Monterrey, campeón del Clausura 2022 de la Liga MX, quedó encuadrado en el grupo Oeste 2 de la fase de clasificación y ganó sus dos partidos al Real Salt Lake y al Seattle Sounders. En la fase eliminatoria, los visitantes se impusieron a Portland Timbers y Tigres UANL, ambos por 1-0. Con estos triunfos, Monterrey acumula una racha de seis partidos ganados y se mantiene invicto en sus últimos ocho encuentros, incluidos los tres últimos al final de la temporada pasada. Los visitantes sumaron 40 puntos en el Clausura pasado, siete más que el Club América. En los 17 partidos que disputaron, ganaron 13, empataron uno y perdieron sólo tres. La mayor virtud del Monterrey la temporada pasada fue su defensa, que sólo encajó 14 goles en la segunda vuelta y fue, con diferencia, el mejor registro de la liga. Ha mantenido su portería a cero en seis de los ocho últimos partidos disputados en todas las competiciones hasta la fecha. Monterrey no se ha enfrentado antes a este rival, pero las casas de apuestas le conceden un saludable respeto, con muy poco que elegir entre él y el LAFC en términos de cuotas.
