El delantero japonés Kazuyoshi Miura, considerado a sus 56 años el jugador más veterano del mundo, continuará su carrera por una nueva temporada en la segunda división de Portugal, donde representará al Oliveirense, ha afirmado su equipo local en japón, el Yokohama FC.
"Miura viajará a Portugal para preparar su nueva cesión con el Oliveirense", señaló esta madrugada el Yokohama FC en un comunicado, aunque dijeron que todavía están a la espera de mayores detalles.
Conocido como 'King Kazu' (Rey Kazu), el legendario jugador nipón (Shizuoka, 1967) llegó al Oliveirense, en el centro de Portugal, en enero, en calidad de cedido por el Yokohama FC japonés, y se ha convertido ya en todo un ídolo entre la afición lusa.
En mayo, el experimentado delantero dijo en declaraciones a una televisión portuguesa que planea seguir en el césped "¡por lo menos hasta los 60 años!" y se mostró muy agradecido por su experiencia en el fútbol portugués y el recibimiento que había tenido.
El Yokohama, su equipo desde 2005, es propiedad del Grupo Onodera, que a finales de 2022 adquirió la mayoría de las acciones de la SAD del Oliveirense.
El cuadro luso ocupa actualmente el décimo puesto en la segunda división portuguesa, aunque es un referente en el deporte del país, concretamente en baloncesto y hockey sobre patines, disciplina en la que es uno de los mejores del mundo.
