El preparador argentino habló para los medios oficiales del club inglés tras completar su fichaje
Mauricio Pochettino ya es el nuevo entrenador del Chelsea. El preparador argentino posó con la indumentaria de su nuevo equipo y aseguró que los 'blues' son el club más grande de Inglaterra en los últimos 10-15 años.
El argentino habló para los medios del club en su primer día en sus instalaciones en una larga entrevista.
"En los últimos diez, doce o quince años, el Chelsea es el club más grande de Inglaterra. Conozco muy bien la Premier League y lo que significa la cultura del Chelsea. Creo que nuestros seguidores están emocionados de estar nuevamente en el camino de intentar ganar", señaló.
"Tenemos muchas ganas, muchas ganas de trabajar con un grupo muy joven, con un planteamiento diferente al del pasado. Todos tenemos que entender que tenemos que trabajar muy duro y crear un buen ambiente para lograr éxitos en los próximos años", dijo el argentino.
"Claro que siempre hay subidas y bajadas en la historia del fútbol, pero el Chelsea es un club que no debería tenerlos. Tenemos que asegurarnos de traer lo que el club necesita para estar en el top, porque es lo que se merece la historia de este club", subrayó.
"Desde el principio, los propietarios y directores deportivos tuvieron muy claro el proyecto y estábamos muy emocionados de unirnos a ellos en este proyecto. Estamos aquí para intentar ayudar al club ya la afición. Al final, lo más importante en el fútbol es que ellos sean felices y se sientan orgullosos de nosotros y de nuestra forma de abordar los partidos. Los jugadores necesitan saber eso", indicó Pochettino, que aseguró que el Chelsea hará más fichajes.
Habrá más fichaje
"La plantilla no está cerrada, y el club está haciendo un trabajo fantástico para terminar la plantilla, así que tenemos a los jugadores aquí para trabajar con nosotros lo antes posible". Juntos vamos a estar en una situación perfecta para trabajar y desarrollar la forma en que queremos aplicarnos en el campo".
Para el argentino, los objetivos "tienen que llegar en la Premier League y en las competiciones en las que participamos. Ahora debemos proporcionar a los jugadores las mejores herramientas para que crezcan, se sientan mejor y comiencen la pretemporada en perfectas condiciones".
"El fútbol ha cambiado en los últimos años, es importante en cada área tener gente con calidad y capacidad para empujarnos a nosotros ya mí mismo a ser mejores. Necesitamos líderes, no seguidores, en todas las áreas y empujaremos a cada persona a dar lo mejor de sí y dar lo mejor de sí por el club", comentó.
