Ciro Immobile ha firmado su mejor temporada de su carrera hasta la fecha con el Lazio. Ha sido el máximo goleador de la Serie A con 29 goles (empatado con Icardi), cifra muy alta teniendo en cuenta las férreas defensas que caracterizan al campeonato italiano, pero no parece ser suficiente motivo de reconocimento para la afición del conjunto romano.
En una encuesta lanzada en Twitter por el Lazio se ofrecían cuatro jugadores a los aficionados para otorgar el premio al Mejor Jugador de la Temporada: Leiva, Immobile, Luis Alberto y Milinkovic. Tras un total de 27.655 votos, Lucas Leiva ganó el premio a mejor jugador del Lazio con un amplio margen sobre sus compañeros (71% de los votos). Difícil de creer que Immobile, siendo el líder indiscutible esta temporada, fuera segundo en la encuesta con el 14% de los votos.
