“No me han invitado a la reunión del consejo”, asegura el director deportivo del Sevilla, que mantiene un tenso pulso con los dirigentes por su libertad
El lunes está siendo tremendamente movido en el Sevilla. Monchi, que ha anunciado al club su deseo de marcharse y se ha encontrando con la negativa de sus dirigentes de dejarlo salir gratis, mantuvo una reunión con José Castro y José María del Nido Carrasco en la que, según se ha conocido, sólo se habló de la planificación. El de San Fernando acudió acompañado de Fernando Navarro, su mano derecha, pero por la tarde se esperaban noticias con la celebración de una reunión del consejo de administración en la que, en teoría, se iba a tratar este asunto.
Pero no ha sido así. Monchi acudía al Sánchez Pizjuán aclarando a los medios que lo esperaban en la puerta que no iba al consejo. “No me han invitado”, aclaraba. Y algunos consejeros, a la salida, confirmaban que no se había hablado nada del asunto del director deportivo y que esperaban conocer la versión de Monchi en la misma.
Mientras, en Inglaterra se da por hecho que el de San Fernando acabará en el Aston Villa. Varios medios aseguran que ya ha llegado a un acuerdo y que sólo falta que se desvincule del Sevilla. 'The Telegraph' aseguraba que el club de Birmingham estaba dispuesto a poner 1,7 millones de libras encima de la mesa para lograr su libertad. También el periodista italiano Fabrizio Romano, especialista en el mercado de fichajes, aseguraba en su Twitter que el acuerdo entre Monchi y el Aston Villa es total y que próximamente puede haber un desenlace final favorable a los villanos cuando el Sevilla libere a su director deportivo.
Marchena, otro candidatos
Paralelamente, Carlos Marchena, que no seguirá en el cuerpo técnico de Rubén Baraja en el Valencia, suena como otro candidato a ocupar el puesto de Monchi, según el diario valenciano 'Superdeporte'. Marchena, ex jugador sevillista, sólo tiene experiencia en dirección deportiva de un año que estuvo junto a Paco Gallardo como adjunto de Joaquín Caparrós, precisamente antes del regreso de Monchi.
