Noel Gallagher, ex componente del grupo Oasis, no podrá asistir a la final de la Champions League, que el club de su alma, el Manchester City, disputará este sábado contra el Inter, por encontrarse de gira en Estados Unidos.
Gallagher, que prometió actuar de mayordomo de Pep Guardiola si el City gana la final, sí estuvo presente en la de Oporto hace dos años, en 2021, cuando los 'citizens' perdieron contra el Chelsea gracias a un gol de Kai Havertz.
El ex de Oasis es habitual en los partidos del City y el pasado fin de semana no se perdió la final de la FA Cup que ganó contra el Manchester United. Ahí estuvo también su hermano, Liam, con el que no mantiene una grata relación desde que Oasis se separó en 2009 por sus disputas y peleas internas.
"No voy a poder estar en Estambul", reconoció Noel Gallagher a los medios del City. "Siempre intento que las fechas de la Champions estén libres y normalmente lo consigo para finales de mayo. Pero no contamos con que la Copa del Mundo lo movería todo".
"Estoy obligado por contrato a dar un concierto y no pasa nada. Veré el partido en un bar", confesó Noel Gallagher, que tiene programado un concierto el 9 de junio en Los Angeles y otro en San Diego al día siguiente, cuando se juega la final de la Champions.
Además, el guitarrista y compositor amenazó con salir al escenario en calzoncillos siempre y cuando el Manchester City gane el título y Erling Haaland marque un 'hat trick'.
