Giráldez: "No esperábamos que presionaran tan alto"

onatan Giráldez, técnico del Barça, reconoció que la presión alta del Real Madrid le sorprendió en una primera parte que acabó 1-0, obligándole a buscar soluciones para acabar ganando 1-3 en la ida de los cuartos de final de la Champions League.


“Sabíamos que iba a ser difícil, todas las eliminatorias nos han costado fuera de casa. Por los precedentes intuíamos que el Madrid iba a hacer algo diferente, pero no esperábamos que presionaran tan ato. Hemos tardado en adaptarnos a lo que sucedía. En la segunda parte ya hemos controlado mucho mejor y hemos entendido los espacios para atacar mejor”, explicó el técnico del Barça, detallando el problema y dando un toque a sus jugadoras: “La próxima vez tenemos que ser más rápidas para saber interpretar lo que hay que hacer. Con el cambio de Leila no quería señalar a nadie, era un tema táctico. Rolfö tiene más centro y uno contra uno. Y Pina ha estado muy participativa dentro del balance ofensivo”.

Sobre el penalti apuntó que “el VAR está para impartir justicia. Por lo que he visto le pone la pierna y es falta dentro del área. ¿Si fue una jugada clave? No sé si hubiese sido diferente, había un cambio de dinámica, estábamos gestionando mejor las transiciones, llegando con gente por fuera. El penalti llegó en un centro lateral. Nunca sabremos que habría pasada, pero está claro que el equipo tras el descanso ya había reaccionado"

Giráldez valoró que "es un gran resultado, pero no esta cerrada la eliminatoria y tendremos que hacer un gran partido en el Camp Nou para pasar. La intención es mejorar las pequeñas cosas que no hacemos bien y reforzar todo lo que hacemos bien, que es mucho. El hecho de llegar al descanso con derrota nos da autoexigencia y nos refuerza para lo que esta por venir porque en Champions no hay margen".

El técnico del Barça invitó a celebrar el 1-3 "porque las victorias se han de celebrar, sean donde sean. Ha habido momentos que no hemos podido salir, ellas han estado bien. En el balance general hemos creado más ocasiones. Ha sido un día de máxima exigencia competitiva. Las cosas no son fáciles, llevamos una temporada muy buena y hay que ponerlo en valor"
