Leo Messi, el rey futbolístico de los siete Balones de Oro, emigró el pasado verano a París para volver a triunfar en Europa tras encadenar una dolorosa serie de fiascos sonados con el Barça en la Champions League.

El PSG fichó al crack argentino para intentar conseguir esa Copa de Europa que se resiste a lucir junto a la Torre Eiffel, pero el multimillonario equipo francés se quedó otra vez fuera a las primeras de cambio tras caer por cuarta vez en octavos en las últimas seis temporadas.

El PSG, que se las prometía felices tras el 0-1 de un espectacular Mbappé, al que le anularon dos goles, sucumbió a la enésima ‘euro-remontada’ de un Real Madrid que se regaló una épica clasificación en sus 120 años recién cumplidos.

Al final del partido, las caras de los jugadores del PSG eran un poema, en especial la de Messi, de nuevo con la mirada perdida y sin encontrar explicaciones a lo sucedido. El exculé, que ya suma casi 800 minutos sin marcar ni asistir ante el Madrid, volvió a pasar de puntillas en una cita clave. Falló un penalti en la ida que pudo cambiar la historia de esta eliminatoria y en la vuelta apenas apareció. Su ocasión más clara, una falta en el descuento que salió rozando el larguero. Leo no pesó en el Bernabéu para ayudar al PSG a lograr la meta para la que fue contratado.
