El delantero del Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo, respaldó al entrenador Ralf Rangnick en su objetivo por hacer un buen trabajo en el club de la Premier League, pero dijo que el alemán necesita tiempo para asimilar sus ideas y mejorar el desempeño del equipo.
Rangnick fue designado hasta el final de la temporada después del despido de Ole Gunnar Solskjaer en noviembre tras una mala racha de resultados y el jugador ha respondido a preguntas de los medios sobre si los jugadores están descontentos con sus métodos.
“Desde que llegó cambió muchas cosas”, dijo Ronaldo a Sky Sports. "Pero necesita tiempo para transmitir sus ideas a los jugadores. Creo que hará un buen trabajo. Sabemos que no estamos jugando de la mejor manera, pero tenemos muchos partidos para mejorar".
"Desde que llegó creo que en algunos puntos somos mejores. No es tan fácil cambiar la mentalidad de los futbolistas y la forma en que juegan, la cultura, el sistema".
El United sufrió su primera derrota con Rangnick en la derrota de 1-0 de la semana pasada ante Wolverhampton Wanderers y ocupa el séptimo lugar en la Premier con 31 puntos, en la mitad de la temporada.
“No acepto que nuestra mentalidad sea menos que estar entre los tres primeros en la Premier League”, dijo Ronaldo. "Creo que para construir cosas buenas, a veces tienes que destruir algunas cosas. Entonces, ¿por qué no? Año nuevo, vida nueva y espero que el United pueda estar al nivel que los hinchas quieren. Se lo merecen".
