En el 82', superó a Bijlow en un mano a mano y redujo distancias Vukotic, que había debutado con la absoluta de Montenegro apenas 15 minutos antes. Y en el 86', tras ganar en una pugna aérea a un Daley Blind excesivamente blando, Vujnovic hizo el definitivo 2-2 que manda a Países Bajos a jugarse el todo por el todo el próximo martes.
La 'Oranje' llega a esa última jornada de este grupo G liderando el mismo con 20 puntos, pero le siguen con 18 tanto Noruega, que será su rival en territorio neerlandés como Turquía, que visitará precisamente a Montenegro. Si Países Bajos pierde ante Noruega y Turquía logra en Montenegro el triunfo que la 'Oranje' no supo cosechar, los de Van Gaal se quedarían sin Mundial.
