Los delanteros Diego Costa, Hulk y el chileno Eduardo Vargas, con un gol cada uno, dieron la victoria este sábado al Atlético Mineiro, que ganó 3-0 al Sport Recife y mantuvo el liderato del Campeonato Brasileño con siete puntos de ventaja sobre el Palmeiras.
El equipo de Belo Horizonte, que dirige el entrenador Alexi Stival 'Cuca', encabeza con mano de hierro la clasificación al acumular 45 puntos en 20 partidos, con apenas tres derrotas.
Su nueva víctima en el estadio Mineirao fue un Sport que está hundido en los puestos de descenso y enlaza ya siete partidos sin anotar un solo gol.
El Mineiro no tuvo piedad y, después de varias ocasiones perdidas, estrenó el marcador en el minuto 34 con un tanto de Costa, flamante refuerzo de los gallos esta temporada. El exdelantero del Atlético de Madrid y Chelsea anotó de cabeza gracias a un centro desde la izquierda de Guilherme Arana, exjugador del Sevilla.

El Sport apretó en los minutos finales, pero el linier le anuló dos goles por sendos fueras de juego confirmados por el VAR. Vargas, que había entrado por Hulk, cerraría la cuenta para el cuadro de Cuca con un tanto de penalti en el minuto 98.
El Palmeiras suma tres puntos vitales
También este sábado, el Palmeiras, que comanda el técnico portugués Abel Ferreira, sumó tres puntos vitales en su visita a la cancha del Chapecoense (0-2), colista de la Liga con apenas una victoria en su casillero.
El conjunto verdiblanco decidió el encuentro en el primer tiempo por medio de Luiz Adriano y Raphael Veiga, un triunfo que le permite seguir vivo en la lucha por el título y olvidar la dolorosa derrota en casa de la pasada jornada ante el Flamengo por 1-3.
El Chapecoense, por su parte, se aleja más de los puestos de salvación, que ahora tiene a doce puntos de distancia, a la espera de lo que haga el domingo el Sao Paulo frente al Atlético Goianiense.
Por otro lado, el Athletico Paranaense se impuso al Juventude por 2-1 por medio de Renato Kayzer y Bissoli. Para los visitantes, que sufrieron la expulsión del defensa Rafael Forster, descontó Ricardo Bueno. La jornada de este sábado se completará con el Ceará-Santos y el Bahía-Bragantino.
