Dimitar Berbatov fue tan contundente en sus declaraciones como lo solía ser dentro del área. Esta vez, el búlgaro cargó contra uno de sus antiguos clubes, el Manchester United. El punta uso el caso de Donny Van de Beek para acusar al United de fichar solo por contentar a sus aficionados.
"Van de Beek se está quedando sin tiempo para salvar su carrera en el Manchester United. Fue titular ante el Young Boys y fue sustituido al descanso. Esta ha sido la historia de su etapa en este club. Si juega titular, le cambian. Si sale desde el banquillo, solo 10 minutos. Nunca tiene la oportunidad de demostrar lo que puede hacer", explica Berbatov en declaraciones a Betfair recogidas por el diario inglés Daily Mirror.
"La cosa no está funcionando con Van de Beek. Es una decepción porque el United pagó mucho por él, pero es lo que pasa cuando gastas mucho dinero solo por complacer a tus aficionados. Espero que que tenga una oportunidad adecuada, pero va a ser difícil para él y para el club cortar por lo sano... Si es que se puede", sentenció con dureza el búlgaro.
Este también habló sobre Cavani. "Cavani no está contento. Tuvo una gran primera temporada en el United y ver ahora como cayó su rol y perdió el siete... Espero que Ole haya tenido una conversación honesta con Cavani sobre sus planes para el equipo. Cómo jugador en esta situación, entiendes que el trabajo del entrenador es elegir el mejor equipo, pero siempre quieres jugar y te sientes infeliz cuando lo haces y te dejan fuera".
"¿Ole en riesgo? No puedes ir en serio"
Para el búlgaro, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, entrenador del United, no está en riesgo de ser despedido como si apuntaron otros exfutbolistas del United. La derrota ante el Young Boys piensa que aún no le deja tocado. "El record no es suficientemente bueno. Es verdad que, a veces, el fútbol es más de lo que muestran las estadísticas. Pero, ¿está el puesto de Solskjaer en riesgo por la derrota en Suiza? Venga ya, no puedes hablar en serio. El United ha jugado cuatro partidos en la Premier y ha ganado tres. Una derrota en la Champions no pode en riesgo el trabajo de Solskjaer. No entiendo discusión alguna sobre su futuro tan pronto. El United tiene un equipo fuerte, ha hecho fichajes excelentes que están encajando y deberíamos juzgarlos cuando acabe la fase de grupos, no tras un partido", explicó para finalizar.
