José Mourinho selló este domingo su cuarto triunfo en cuatro partidos oficiales al mando de la Roma al doblegar por 0-4 a la ascendida Salernitana en la segunda jornada de la Serie A.
Tras sellar su acceso a la fase de grupos de la Conference League con dos victorias ante el Trabzonspor turco, la Roma encadenó su segunda victoria liguera con un doblete de Lorenzo Pellegrini y goles del francés Jordan Veretout y el inglés Tammy Abraham.

El partido se decidió en la segunda mitad y, después de que Pellegrini rompiera el muro local en el minuto 48, la Roma dispuso de más espacios para hacerse con tres puntos que le permiten mantener el pleno de triunfos, igual que Inter, Milan, Lazio y Nápoles. Los 'giallorossi' son segundos, empatados con el Inter, tras el Lazio, con mejor diferencia de goles.

Mourinho, que regresó este año a Italia, donde ya había triunfado al frente del Inter, entre 2008 y 2010, apostó por Carles Pérez en su once inicial, mientras que el también español Borja Mayoral jugó los últimos ocho minutos.
Mayoral, cedido en el Roma por el Real Madrid, perdió protagonismo en este arranque de campaña tras la llegada de Mourinho, quien sin embargo aseguró que cuenta con él y que le considera un "buen profesional".
