Pese a que en algunos tramos su juego despertó dudas, la campeona de Europa goleó a Israel antes de la Eurocopa
La selección de Portugal, vigente campeona de Europa, goleó este miércoles por 4-0 a Israel en el último partido de los lusos de preparación para la Eurocopa, en la que defenderán título. Lo cierto es que, a pesar de que el encuentro acabó en goleada gracias al doblete de Bruno Fernandes y sendos tantos de Cristiano Ronaldo y Fabio Cancelo, el juego de los lusos despertó dudas ahora que les llega la hora de la verdad y además encuadrados en el temible grupo F, en el que se enfrentarán a Francia, Alemania y Hungría.
A Portugal, para desesperación de Fernando Santos, le costó encontrar el camino del gol en el estadio José Alvalade. CR7 desperdició un par de buenas oportunidades, Diogo Jota otras dos y, aunque no practicaba un mal juego, la selección lusa se mostraba imprecisa. Y con fragilidad en defensa, pese a la diferencia de nivel con Israel.
Primero, Bruno Fernandes
Era ya el minuto 42 cuando Portugal pudo por fin avanzarse en el marcador ante Israel. Lo logró por mediación de Bruno Fernandes, quien culminó de forma perfecta tras un gran pase atrás de Joao Cancelo, que había sido uno de los mejores del combinado luso.
Y, faltando un minuto para el descanso, llegó la hora de Cristiano Ronaldo, quien marcó el segundo tanto de Portugal de disparo con la zurda y a pase del propio Bruno Fernandes.
Volvió a tener problemas de juego Portugal en el inicio de la segunda parte, además con una aparente falta de tensión. Pero los campeones de Europa crecieron en intensidad, pero les faltó chispa. Bernardo Silva tuvo la primera gran ocasión de la segunda mitad, pero Ofir Marciano, portero de Israel, puso la mano para desviar el balón providencialmente. Cristiano Ronaldo fue sustituido por Pedro Gonçalves en el 72’.
Israel estuvo cerca de recortar distancias por mediación de Eran Zahavi tras recibir un pase de Eliazer Dasa, pero intervino Rui Silva, portero de Portugal. Fue Cancelo el que marcó l 3-0, un gran gol, con un gran remate y una gran finalización con la pierna izquierda. Y Bruno Fernandes selló su doblete con un impecable disparo con la derecha y redondeó el 4-0.
A pesar del triunfo por 4-0, Portugal dejó dudas en la transición defensiva y en algunos tramos le faltó creatividad. La selección lusa iniciará la defensa de su título el 15 de junio contra Hungría. El 19 los lusos se enfrentarán a Alemania y el 23 a Francia.
