elegidos como mejor portero y mejor lateral derecho
Los jugadores españoles Antonio Adán, que han llevado al Sporting de Portugal a ganar la Primeira Liga, han sido elegidos mejor guardameta y mejor lateral derecho del año del campeonato liguero portugués.
Adán fue el más votado por los entrenadores de la primera división lusa, informó este sábado la Liga Portugal. De 34 años, se hizo con el galardón tras una temporada en la que disputó 32 partidos en Liga, de los cuales 19 acabaron con la portería a cero.
Adán se mostró "muy feliz por ser elegido portero del año" y subrayó que es "una consecuencia de la excelente temporada" que hizo el Sporting, que se proclamó campeón por primera vez desde 2002.
El madrileño debutó en el Real Madrid C en la temporada 2004-2005 y permaneció en sus filas durante dos temporadas como portero titular antes de pasar al primer equipo.
Durante la etapa de José Mourinho lució el dorsal 13 en el conjunto merengue y debutó en un partido oficial de la Liga de Campeones. Fue ganándose la confianza del técnico luso, que en 2012 lo prefirió frente a Iker Casillas en varios encuentros de la Liga española.
En 2013 anunció su fichaje con el Cagliari, de la Serie A italiana, donde permaneció una temporada antes de recalar en el Real Betis, con quien estuvo hasta 2017, momento en que se hizo oficial su fichaje por el Atlético de Madrid.
Su andadura con el Atlético de Madrid terminó en 2020, cuando fichó por el Sporting.
