La selección de Italia consiguió este viernes un cómodo triunfo por 7-0 contra la de San Marino en un partido amistoso disputado en el estadio Sardegna Arena de Cagliari que le sirvió para empezar a calentar motores con la mirada puesta en la próxima Eurocopa.
Con las ausencias de Emerson Palmieri y Jorginho, que juegan este sábado la final de la Liga de Campeones con el Chelsea contra el Manchester City, Italia encadenó su vigésimo sexto partido sin derrotas, la segunda racha más larga de su historia tras los treinta logrados durante la gestión Vittorio Pozzo, el seleccionador doble campeón del mundo (1934 y 1938).
Federico Bernardeschi, con un gol y dos asistencias, y Matteo Pessina y Matteo Politano, autores de dobletes, fueron los más destacados de un partido controlado sin apuros por Italia.
Como era de esperar, la selección de Roberto Mancini no se despeinó ante San Marino, que ocupa la posición número 210 en el ránking FIFA, en un encuentro que sirvió para dar minutos a jugadores poco habituales en su once.
