Sin embargo, con el correr de
los minutos el Sport Huancayo se desinfló y el Peñarol aprovechó para retomar
el control del encuentro jugado en el estadio Campeón del Siglo.
Antes del final de la primera
mitad los locales ampliaron y perfilaron la goleada con los tantos de Facundo
Torres en el minuto 33 y de Gary Kagelmacher en el 45. Ambos aprovecharon
sendos saques de esquina para convertir y dejar el parcial en 3-1.
En el segundo tiempo Giovanni
González fue derribado dentro del área y David Terans convirtió de penalti en
el minuto 69. A diez minutos del final Álvarez Martínez completó su ‘doblete’ y
puso la guinda con una jugada a balón detenido.
La próxima semana, Peñarol
visitará al Corinthians en Sao Paulo. Los brasileños debutarán en casa tras
igualar hoy 0-0 en su visita al River Plate, que a su vez viajará a Perú para
encarar al herido Huancayo.
