Copa Sudamericana con un triunfo por 3-1 sobre el Jorge Wilstermann boliviano,
que evidenció su mal momento de forma. Aún así el conjunto boliviano descontó a
través del colombiano Humberto Osorio.
El equipo que dirige Guto
Ferreira resolvió el encuentro en apenas ocho minutos de la primera mitad, con
los tantos del volante Pedro Naressi y el atacante Mendoza, quien se ha
destapado como uno de los mejores jugadores del Ceará en este inicio de
temporada 2021.
El Wilstermann, antepenúltimo
en el campeonato boliviano, en uno de sus peores arranques de campaña de los
últimos años, recortó distancias, también de penalti a través de Osorio, en el
minuto 54. Pero el mediapunta brasileño Vina sentenció para el Ceará en el
minuto 82 al culminar un contragolpe a pase de Mendoza.
El triunfo permite al conjunto
brasileño sumar los primeros tres puntos y ponerse líder provisional del grupo
C, que completan el Arsenal argentino y el Bolívar boliviano. Por el contrario,
el tropiezo en el Arena Castelao de Fortaleza deja contra las cuerdas al
técnico boliviano Mauricio Soria, quien ya llegaba a este compromiso
fuertemente cuestionado.

la Conmebol. Los primeros minutos fueron bastante dinámicos, con los dos
equipos en busca del gol, algo extraño para un estreno en una competición
internacional.
Hasta el conjunto boliviano
empezó con algo de predisposición para rascar algún punto, si bien los
brasileños rápidamente se hicieron con el control del juego.
Les faltaba sólo convertir su
dominio en goles. Vina y Felipe Vizeu, este último cedido por el Udinese
italiano hasta junio próximo, estuvieron cerca de hacerlo.
Sin embargo, fue el volante
Pedro Naressi el que abrió la lata en el minuto 29, tras finalizar una jugada
colectiva cocinada a fuego lento.
El golpe descentró al equipo
aviador, que poco después cometió un penalti sobre el lateral Bruno Pacheco.
Los jugadores del Wilster ni protestaron. Mendoza no falló desde los once
metros y amplió diferencias en el minuto 37.
De no ser por las
intervenciones de Banegas, el cuadro de Mauricio Soria podría haberse marchado
al descanso con un resultado más abultado. No obstante, volvería a meterse en
el partido nada más comenzar la segunda mitad gracias a un penalti de Mendoza
sobre el argentino Pato Rodríguez que convirtió Osorio.
A partir de ahí, las fuerzas
se igualaron, pero el Ceará fue más efectivo y puso el definitivo 3-1 por medio
de Vina. Debut soñado para los brasileños ante un Jorge Wilstermann que vuelve
a Bolivia con más dudas.
