de Monterrey, Javier Aguirre, fue separado del equipo por violar el aislamiento
para evitar la propagación de la COVID-19, informó la Federación Mexicana de
Fútbol. En un comunicado la institución explicó que el extécnico del Atlético
de Madrid y de otros equipos de España, fue captado en un evento ajeno al club
sin respetar el protocolo sanitario.
Las redes sociales divulgaron
un vídeo donde aparece Aguirre en un baile en una boda, lo cual llevó a la Liga
Mx a turnar a la comisión disciplinaria el caso para que investigue y determine
las sanciones. Aguirre, de 62 años, se hizo cargo de los Rayados de Monterrey a
inicio de este año y lo tiene en el tercer lugar de la clasificación del torneo
Clausura.
El equipo también juega la
Liga de campeones de Concacaf, en la que este jueves recibirá al Atlético
Pantoja de República Dominicana al que goleó por 0-3 en el duelo de ida de los
octavos de final.
"Estaba en la boda de mi
hijo. No seguí el protocolo correspondiente; estoy vacunado, las tres o cuatro
personas mayores que estábamos ahí, incluida mi esposa, estamos vacunados, pero
aun así no hice una cosa correcta y debo asumir las consecuencias", dijo
Aguirre en un vídeo difundido por los Rayados.
Aguirre recordó que en los
Rayados cumplen los protocolos de manera escrupulosa y le hizo una invitación a
la sociedad para no bajar la guardia y seguir peleando contra la pandemia.
Monterrey suma siete
victorias, cuatro empates, dos derrotas y 25 puntos. Su defensa es la segunda
mejor del campeonato y su ataque el quinto, encabezado por el argentino Rogelio
Funes Mori, que comparte el liderato de los anotadores con sus compatriotas
Nicolás Ibáñez, del San Luis, y Pedro Alexis Canelo, del Toluca.
El Monterrey cerrará la fase
regular del Clausura al recibir al Pachuca el próximo domingo, visitar a los
Tigres UANL el 24 de abril y jugar en su estadio con el Mazatlán, el 1 de mayo.
