El Everton rompió este sábado
su maleficio en el derbi de Merseyside al ganar en Anfield por primera vez en
Premier desde 1999 y agravó el calvario de su eterno rival ciudadano, el
Liverpool (0-2). Además por tercera vez en su historia el equipo ‘red’ encadenó
4 derrotas consecutivas en el campeonato inglés. Carlo Ancelotti le ganó la
partida a Jürgen Klopp. Richarlison y Sigursson de penalti decidieron.
Pese a que venía de ganar por
0-2 al Leipzig en la ida de octavos de Champions en Budapest, todos los
fantasmas del Liverpool reaparecieron ante el Everton. Al campeón de la Premier
se le complicó muy pronto la tarde, ya que fue en el minuto 3 cuando
Richarlison culminó una gran asistencia de James Rodríguez y avanzó a los

Tras el descanso el Liverpool
salió en tromba y con mucho mejor juego que en la primera parte. Sadio Mané y,
en sus subidas, Trent Alexander-Arnold fueron los que crearon más peligro. Pero
Pickford y su zaga se mantuvieron firmes. Nada le salió bien al campeón de la
Premier para evitar esa cuarta derrota seguida en el torneo, en el que está a
16 puntos del líder, el Manchester City de Pep Guardiola (que visita este
domingo al Arsenal).
Para colmo, tras un pase de un
gran Richarlison (que en varias ocasiones le ganó las espaldas a Ozan Kabak) a
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, este fue objeto de un penalti por parte de
Alexander-Arnold. Gylfi Sigurdsson lo convirtió en el 0-2, redondeando la
fiesta del Everton en Anfield. Los ‘reds’ son sextos, a 3 puntos del Chelsea y
