Martín Merquelanz y Jon Bautista seguirán formando parte de la plantilla de la Real Sociedad hasta el final de temporada, tal y como se decidió el pasado verano, pese a que a lo largo del mercado de invierno que finalizó ayer ambos han tenido muchas propuestas de algún club de Primera división y de bastantes de Segunda. Imanol Alguacil no ha echado mucho mano de ellos hasta ahora, pero quiere seguir teniéndoles a sus órdenes.
Bautista, pese a que su paso por Bélgica el pasado curso no fue muy positivo, y Merquelanz, que sí triunfó y a lo grande en su cesión en el Mirandés, ya fueron muy pretendidos en el mercado de verano y en el de este mes de enero recién terminado han recibido llamadas desde el primer día, insistiendo algunas entidades casi hasta el último, pero la respuesta que han recibido siempre de la Real es que iban a continuar bajo su disciplina.

demasiado de ambos. El extremo ha participado en 11 de los 30 partidos de competición que ha afrontado la Real, ocho en LaLiga, dos en la Copa y uno en Europa, viviendo su mejor racha en el mes de diciembre, cuando con la baja de Mikel Oyarzabal salió de inicio sucesivamente ante Deportivo Alavés, Eibar y Levante.

El delantero, por su parte, ha tenido minutos en 15 encuentros, en todos ellos saliendo desde el banquillo y, pese a su importantísimo gol en una de sus primeras apariciones, en la primera jornada de la Europa League en Rijeka, al que también marcó en Anoeta, siempre ha tenido que estar a la sombra de Isak y Willian José, pese a que ambos no estuvieron muy finos hasta hace poco.
Bautista y Merquelanz seguirán, por tanto, entrenando desde hoy en Zubieta, como estaba previsto desde el verano, primero, y desde la Navidad, después, y deberán estar preparados como hasta ahora por si hay bajas e Imanol decide echar mano de ellos. La segunda vuelta liguera, la bonita eliminatoria europea contra el Manchester United y el sueño de levantar un título en la final de Copa pendiente aún están en el horizonte realista.
