El futbolista peruano Patricio
Arce, del Carlos Mannucci, resultó herido junto a otros dos jóvenes más en un
tiroteo ocurrido en el Callao, la ciudad portuaria aledaña a Lima, donde además
murió un jugador juvenil del Cantolao.
El centrocampista, de 27 de
años, fue hospitalizado con tres heridas de bala en pecho, hombro y pierna, por
lo que tuvo que ser intervenido en el quirófano de urgencia, aunque su
condición es estable y su vida no corre peligro.
Según narraron varios testigos
al canal América, ‘Pato’ Arce se encontraba entrenando a tres jóvenes del
barrio en un parque de su natal Callao cuando desde un vehículo que pasó por el
lugar fueron acribillados indiscriminadamente.
Producto del ataque perdió la
vida un menor de 16 años que pertenecía a la escuela del Cantolao, uno de los
dos equipos del Callao que juega en la primera división de Perú junto al Sport
Boys, el club donde se formó y debutó Arce como futbolista profesional.
En el lugar del ataque se
encontraron al menos una quincena de casquillos de bala, según precisó a medios
locales la Policía Nacional, que investiga los hechos como un presunto ajuste
de cuentas perpetrado por una pandilla de la zona.
El tiroteo se produjo pocas
horas después de que el Carlos Mannucci, de Trujillo, anunciase la continuidad
en el equipo por un año más de Arce, que juega en el tricolor cedido por el
Sporting Cristal.
“Arce se convirtió en una de
las figuras para que nuestra escuadra alcance su primera clasificación
internacional, por lo que estamos seguros que todo su talento y juego ofensivo
seguirá siendo un valioso aporte para nuestra institución”, remarcó Mannucci.
Tras conocerse el ataque del
fue víctima Arce, el club trujillano pedía oraciones y le deseaba una pronta
recuperación a la espera de que pueda reincorporarse a sus entrenamientos de
cara a la importante temporada que le espera a Mannucci, donde por primera vez
jugará un torneo internacional como la Copa Sudamericana.
Asimismo, el Sporting Cristal,
dueño de la ficha de Arce hasta 2022, deseó también una pronta recuperación
para Arce y “mucha fuerza” a sus familiares.
