Tras 18 jornadas disputadas, el Huesca es colista con sólo 12 puntos y a una distancia de seis respecto a la permanencia, números que han dilapidado la continuidad del cuerpo técnico que hizo al Huesca campeón de Liga en Segunda División la temporada pasada.
Michel Sánchez había ganado tiempo tras la ratificación después de caer frente al Barça. Un tiempo que el fútbol le está quitando porque desde entonces ya son dos derrotas. Tras 46 partidos en Primera repartidos entre Huesca y Rayo, el técnico de Vallecas ha conseguido siete victorias en la máxima categoría pero solo una como entrenador del conjunto oscense. Todo hace indicar que su sustituto será Asier Garitano. El técnico vasco se encuentra sin equipo desde el pasado verano cuando fue cesado del Deportivo Alavés en la jornada 34. Antes Real Sociedad y Leganés, también en la élite forman parte de la carta de presentación de Garitano que apunta a ser el próximo entrenador del Huesca. No es el único con el que ha habido un diálogo frecuente desde hace semanas aunque parece que será él quien asuma el magistral reto de intentar salvar al Huesca en Primera.
