lastrado por sus 8 bajas, no pudo con el Saint-Ètienne y se queda a tres puntos
del Lyon
Mauricio Pochettino debutó en
el banquillo del PSG con un pobre empate (1-1) en Saint-Étienne que le deja a
tres puntos del líder, el Lyon, que ganó 3-2 al Lens. Fue un estreno con
dominio, pero sin pegada.
El técnico argentino no pudo
aprovechar en su estreno el potencial de la plantilla debido a las numerosas bajas
que ya afectaron al rendimiento del equipo en los últimos partidos dirigidos
por Thomas Tuchel. Siete jugadores se ausentaron por lesión (Neymar, Florenzi,
Kurzawa, Bernat, Kimpembe, Paredes y Danilo Pereira) y uno por ser positivo de
Covid-19: Rafinha, que había despedido 2020 en un gran momento. Excepto Bernat,
operado de una rodilla, todos ellos deberían estar disponibles para la ida de
los octavos de final de la Champions League ante el Barça que se jugará en el
Camp Nou el 16 de febrero. Es decir, que el PSG de Pochettino, ya con más días
de trabajo y con la mayoría de sus cracks a punto, no tendrá nada que ver con
el que se vio en Saint-Étienne.
Lo primero que se comprobó es
que el nuevo PSG quiere el balón, con un 75 por ciento de posesión hacia el
minuto 19, cuando Mbappé y Marquinhos ya habían desperdiciado dos ocasiones y
justo en el momento en el que Hamouma logró el 1-0 tras una pérdida en zona de
peligro de Gueye.
El castigo a la falta de
efectividad era evidente, aunque Moise Kean lo arregló en el 1-1 en el 22’ tras
una dejada de Verratti. Era su octavo gol en Ligue 1 y décimo esta temporada.
El PSG dominó y dio imagen de
superioridad, pero tras ese prometedor inicio ya llegó menos a la portería
rival hasta que aceleró en los últimos minutos. Kean y Di María rozaron un 1-2
que no llegó y el debut de Pochettino no fue feliz.
