Rashford desencalló al equipo
con un tanto en el descuento, premio a la insistencia frente a un rival que llegó
a Old Trafford en busca de un empate
Rashford es un futbolista con
aura de estrella, citado para grandes momentos. El inglés es el emblema de un
equipo que conserva intangibles como saber ganar en el descuento, como hizo
frente a un Wolves que se encerró durante todo el segundo tiempo para bloquear
al cuadro de Solskjaer, que mereció ganar después de tanta insistencia (1-0). A
poco para el final se vino abajo el muro visitante tras un remate de Rashford
que rebotó en Saïss y que le coloca a dos puntos de la cabeza.
El Wolves le planteó una
encrucijada a Bruno Fernandes, el futbolista en torno al que gira el United. El
portugués se vio atado en Old Trafford, obligado a jugar en un espacio tan
reducido que la noche le emplazó a decidir en un toque. Dos como mucho. Kilman,
Neves y Vitinha se coordinaron para entorpecer el juego del ex del Sporting,
sin apenas hueco en un primer tiempo en el que el cuadro de Solskjaer tuvo

Su compatriota le negó el 1-0, tan buscado por un United que se ve capaz de
sumarse a la lucha por la Premier ante tanto tropiezo de sus rivales. En una
liga tan atípica, ahora con el interrogante de si va a detenerse por dos
semanas, cualquiera puede sumarse al carro y puede sentirse candidato. Cosas de
que el Liverpool no sea infalible.
Al United le costó encontrar
alguna grieta porque tuvo enfrente a un rival ordenado, que no cayó en la
trampa de Pogba, cansado de mandar pases al espacio. El francés tampoco dejó
mucha huella, desesperado cada vez que juega tan alejado del área contraria. No
le queda otra si comparte equipo con Bruno Fernandes, fijo en la plaza favorita
de su compañero. A falta de eficacia, Solskjaer agitó el banquillo y recurrió a
Martial, al que juntó en ataque con Cavani.
El Wolves secó durante mucho
rato al United pero el equipo de Solskjaer no se rindió. No se dejó llevar por
la inercia de un encuentro con muchas trabas, desencallado en el descuento por
un Rashford que está llamado a ser protagonista, emblema de Old Trafford. Un
remate del ariete, desviado con desgracia por Saïs, se coló en el arco de Rui
Patricio, totalmente vendido. Premio a la insistencia de un United que mereció
el triunfo. Esta vez la suerte la tuvo a su favor.
