brasileño y de la Copa Libertadores, exigió este domingo una rigurosa
investigación de la acusación de injuria racial que su volante Gerson hizo
contra el centrocampista colombiano Juan Pablo Ramírez tras el partido con el
Bahía por el Campeonato Brasileño.
Gerson, exjugador de los
clubes italianos Roma y Fiorentina, acusó al colombiano, jugador del Bahía, de
haberle proferido un insulto de connotación racista durante el partido en que
el Flamengo se impuso por 4-2 en el Maracaná de Río de Janeiro.
"Quiero decir una cosa:
he disputado muchos partidos como profesional y nunca dije nada porque nunca
sufrí prejuicio, pero cuando encajamos uno de los goles, Ramírez discutió con
Bruno Henrique y fui a hablarle y él me dijo: 'calla la boca, negro'",
afirmó Gerson en declaraciones que concedió a la prensa al final del partido.
Ramírez, que tiene cinco
títulos nacionales y dos internacionales como jugador del Atlético Nacional y
fue contratado por el Bahía en noviembre pasado, hasta ahora no se ha
pronunciado sobre las acusaciones.
El Flamengo salió en defensa
de su jugador en un comunicado, ofreció la ayuda de sus asistentes jurídicos en
caso de que el volante decida presentar denuncia penal y exigió que el caso sea
investigado rigurosamente.
"El Flamengo repudia
vehementemente el episodio lamentable ocurrido en el partido de este domingo
con el atleta Gerson, que fue víctima de injuria racial. El racismo
deshumaniza, hiere y mata. El racismo es inadmisible", aseguró el club de
Río de Janeiro en el comunicado que publicó en las redes sociales.
"Exigimos una profunda investigación del hecho", agrega la nota.
El vicepresidente jurídico del
Flamengo, Rodrigo Dunshee, anunció que el departamento jurídico está atento al
asunto y a disposición de Gerson en caso de que decida acudir a los tribunales.
Y hasta el Vasco da Gama,
tradicional rival de patio del Flamengo y el primer equipo en alinear negros en
la historia del fútbol brasileño, también divulgó un comunicado para expresar
su apoyo a Gerson y exigir una investigación rigurosa.
"Nos solidarizamos con el
jugador Gerson en este nuevo relato inaceptable de racismo en nuestro fútbol.
Este tipo de lucha está por encima de cualquier rivalidad. Que el hecho sea
investigado con rigor. No podemos tolerar este tipo de actitud", según un
comunicado que el Vasco divulgó en sus redes sociales.
Además de la acusación de
racismo, el partido tuvo dos expulsiones y acaloradas discusiones.
El Flamengo se impuso por 4-3
en un partido que tuvo que remontar para ascender al segundo lugar en la
clasificación de la Liga, a cinco puntos del líder Sao Paulo.
