Después de sendos empates en
la jornada anterior, sumaron tres puntos y ahora comparten, junto con
Argentinos Juniors, la cima del Grupo A de la zona campeonato
La octava jornada -segunda de
la etapa definitoria- de la liga argentina, rebautizada Copa Diego Maradona a
partir del fallecimiento del mito, marcó la recuperación tanto de Boca Juniors
como de River Plate que, luego de sendos empates en la jornada anterior,
sumaron tres puntos y ahora comparten, junto con Argentinos Juniors, la cima del
Grupo A de la zona campeonato.
Tras una imagen opaca dejada
en la igualdad ante el humilde Arsenal y una semana complicada por la derrota
en la ida de los cuartos de Copa Libertadores a manos de Racing, los ‘xeneize’
se repusieron con una muestra de autoridad en su visita a Independiente, al que
le remontaron sobre la bocina.
El local abrió la cuenta por
medio de Silvio Romero en el 21’ y pudo haberse ido al descanso con dos tantos
de ventaja, pero Rossi, meta visitante, detuvo el penalti ejecutado por Roa. En
el tramo final del complemento apareció en todo su esplendor el colombiano
Cardona, primero en el 83’ para asistir a Soldano en el tanto del empate, y
luego para sellar el 1-2 final en el 90’ con un golazo a la escuadra.

Por su parte los
‘millonarios’, ya clasificados a semifinales de Libertadores tras un aplastante
global de 8-2 sobre Nacional de Uruguay, también levantaron cabeza después del
1-1 frente a Argentinos Juniors y al igual que su eterno rival lo hicieron con
un triunfo claro a domicilio, en su caso ante Huracán (1-3). Matías Suárez
(27’), De La Cruz, con un doblete (34’ y 83’) anotaron para los de Marcelo
Gallardo, mientras que Andrés Chávez había acortado distancias en el 66’.
De esta manera Boca, River y
el propio Argentinos, que se impuso a Arsenal, lideran con cuatro puntos.
San Lorenzo defrauda
En el Grupo B de la misma zona
de ganadores, San Lorenzo, que a priori era el máximo favorito, apenas igualó
en casa frente a Colón, es quinto entre seis equipos y ahora depende casi de un
milagro para terminar en ese primer lugar que le permitiría jugar por el
título.
En la zona complementación
destaca el 1-1 entre Estudiantes y Racing firmado por Solari (26’) para la
‘Academia’ y Leandro Díaz (65’) para el ‘pincha’. En una temporada para el
olvido en el certamen local –ambos terminaron últimos en sus correspondientes
grupos en la fase de clasificación-, la diferencia es que los de Avellaneda
todavía sueñan en grande a nivel continental, y más aún después de haber vencido
a Boca (1-0) en la ida de cuartos de Libertadores.
