delantero del Atlético en videoconferencia ante los fiscales de Perugia
El uruguayo Luis Suárez,
delantero del Atlético Madrid, declaró este sábado en una vídeo conferencia
ante los fiscales de la localidad italiana de Perugia que conocía con
antelación las preguntas que recibiría el pasado 17 de septiembre, cuando
superó el examen B1 de italiano previo a la consecución del pasaporte de
Italia, según informan los medios locales.
Suárez, que en ese momento
jugaba en el Barcelona y que finalmente recaló en el Atlético Madrid, pasó el
examen en la Universidad para Extranjeros de Perugia porque el Pasaporte de
Italia facilitaría su posible fichaje por la Juventus, en ese momento
interesado en el delantero.
El uruguayo participó en la
vídeo conferencia como testigo y no como investigado, al estar informado sobre
los hechos, y habló en español ayudado por un intérprete.
Según varios medios italianos,
Suárez reconoció que supo con antelación las preguntas que le harían los
profesores. Su declaración ante los fiscales se produjo antes de jugar y marcar
un doblete en el triunfo por 3-1 del Atlético Madrid contra el Elche.
El examn fue el 17 de
septiembre
El pasado 8 de diciembre se
supo que la Fiscalía ha podido acceder a las preguntas que algunos profesores
de la Universidad de Perugia enviaron a Suárez en los días previos al examen
amañado, que tuvo lugar el 17 de septiembre.
El primer correo electrónico
fue enviado a Suárez el día 10 de septiembre e incluía la primera pregunta y la
respuesta que el uruguayo debía dar.

"Bienvenido, preséntese y
hable un poco de usted", era la manera de empezar la conversación.
"Vivo en Barcelona, en
España, desde hace seis años. España me gusta mucho, dos de mis hijos nacieron
en España. Barcelona me gusta mucho, me fui de vacaciones a Barcelona cuando
tenía quince años y me gustó mucho. Llevo diez años casado. Mi mujer se llama
Sofía y es uruguaya, pero tiene pasaporte italiano. Tengo tres hijos: una niña
que se llama Delfina y tiene diez años, un niño que se llama Benjamín y tiene
siete años. El último niño se llama Lautaro y debe cumplir dos años", era
la respuesta que debía dar Suárez.
Suspensiones
Por este escándalo, las
autoridades italianas han suspendido de sus funciones durante ocho meses a los
responsables de la Universidad para Extranjeros de Perugia que organizaron y
amañaron el examen de ciudadanía de Suárez, quien finalmente recaló en el
Atlético Madrid.
La Guardia di Finanza ha
suspendido a la rectora de la universidad, Giuliana Grego, al director Simone
Olivieri y a los profesores que examinaron al delantero uruguayo, después de
que la Fiscalía de Perugia haya concluido en su investigación que "los
contenidos de la prueba habían sido comunicados previamente al propio jugador,
llegando a predeterminar el resultado y la puntuación del examen".
Todo ello para cumplir con las
solicitudes que había hecho lq Juventus, que negociaba un posible fichaje si
Suárez lograba un acuerdo favorable de salida con el Barcelona, ya que su
contrato expiraba en 2021.
