Mikel Arteta sigue recibiendo muestras de apoyo, esta vez del portero Bernd
Leno, quien asume la responsabilidad de los malos resultados en un contundente
ejercicio de autocrítica.

menos culpa, los jugadores somos los únicos culpables”, aseguró el meta alemán
en Sky Sports. “Si nos fijamos en cómo corríamos por el campo en ocasiones, los
jugadores somos los únicos culpables”.
No hay críticas al entrenador
en el vestuario
Leno insiste en que “el
entrenador no es un problema en el vestuario, no hay críticas hacia él. Nos
criticamos y los jugadores sabemos que somos los responsables”. Y admite sin
tapujos que “la actitud es mala, falta disciplina y no tenemos confianza en nosotros
mismos. Hay muchos factores en juego aquí”.
Leno no pone excusas y asegura
que la falta de disciplina ha contribuido a los problemas del Arsenal. “Estamos
recibiendo tarjetas rojas (Granit Xhaka el domingo en el 0-1 ante el Burnley y
Gabriel Magalhaes el miércoles contra el Southampton la han visto en los
últimos dos partidos), cometiendo errores, quedándonos fuera de posición. Son
cosas que claramente hemos abordado mil veces. Al final, es una falta de
enfoque por parte de los jugadores”.
