La lucha por el ‘scudetto’
está más apretada que nunca y la Roma se consolidó hoy como un serio candidato
tras ganar al Torino (3-1) y escalar del sexto al cuarto lugar, a apenas 4
puntos del líder Milan, aprovechando que el miércoles el Nápoles perdió ante el
Inter (1-0) y el Sassuolo empató en su visita a la Fiorentina (1-1).
De sus cinco jugadores
españoles de su plantilla, Fonseca alineó esta vez de titulares al meta Pau
López y al joven mediocentro Gonzalo Villar, que protagonizó una gran actuación
en su doble función de recuperar y repartir balones. El murciano, a sus 22 años,
está ganando confianza y su progresión podría llevarle a ganarse una plaza en
el once inicial con mayor asiduidad.

Fonseca dejó de inicio en el
banquillo a Pedro Rodríguez, Borja Mayoral y Carles Pérez, pero la Roma se
bastó sin ellos para encarrilar un partido que quedó condicionado por la
segunda amarilla que vio en el minuto 15 el delantero marfileño Wilfried Singo
por una plancha sobre Leonardo Spinazzola.
Hasta ese momento la Roma
había tenido una clara ocasión en las botas de Bruno Peres, que remató mal un
balón suelto en el área (11’) y el Torino, penúltimo en la tabla, aún aguantó
algunos minutos más ya que al partido entró en una fase trabada debido a las
continuas fricciones que llevaron al árbitro a mostrar varias amarillas.

La igualdad se rompió
finalmente antes de la media hora cuando Spinazzola centró desde la izquierda,
Lyanco despejó mal y Henrikh Mkhitaryan, sin pensárselo, clavó el balón en la
red tras dar en el poste (28’).
Con 1-0, Gonzalo Villar supo
interpretar a la perfección el juego ante un rival en inferioridad tanto en el
campo como en el marcador y antes del descanso Jordan Veretout logró el 2-0 al
transformar un penalti cometido por Gleison Bremer sobre Edin Dzeko (42’).
Demasiados contratiempos para
el Torino
El Torino, además de la
expulsión y del penalti, se vio perjudicada también en la primera parte por las
lesiones de Amer Gojak y Cristian Ansaldi, sustituidos en los minutos 23 y 45.
A la hora de juego Fonseca dio
entrada a Pedro Rodríguez por Villar y Borja Mayoral por Dzeko y los dos
españoles recién entrados fabricaron el 3-0. Tras un balón de Mkhitaryan, Pedro
conectó con Mayoral, quien cedió en corto a Lorenzo Pellegrini, que se paró,
recortó a un defensa y colocó el balón por la escuadra (70’). Un golazo.

error de Pau
La Roma había bajado el ritmo
y permitió que, en el primer remate del Torino, Simone Edera soltara un
trallazo desde fuera del área que se estrelló en el larguero (64’).
Con 3-0, una falta de
concentración de los ‘giallorossi’ la aprovechó Andrea Belotti para recortar
distancias. Pau López repelió pero no atajó su primer disparo, el meta catalán
salió de su portería para atraparlo pero se le volvió a escapar al no
entenderse con sus defensa y finalmente Belotti marcó entre una tremenda
confusión (73’).
