El 2020 se va a cerrar con una colección de hechos insólitos, anomalías entre las que habrá que incluir la derrota sufrida por el Granada en Balaídos, que supone la primera ocasión en la que el conjunto rojiblanco se va de vacío después de comenzar ganando un encuentro, algo que no había ocurrido en los 104 choques anteriores con Diego Martínez en el banquillo.
Desde la llegada del técnico gallego al Granada, el conjunto andaluz ganó el solidez y fiabilidad, como quedó patente en el primer año de Diego Martínez al frente del conjunto granadino. Durante su aventura en Segunda, los nazaríes se pusieron por delante en veinticuatro partidos, llevándose una veintena de triunfos y cediendo únicamente cuatro empates.
Que el Granada se adelantase en el marcador significaba un mal augurio para los rivales, incapaces de voltear un marcador adverso ante los rojiblancos, una tendencia que se mantuvo el curso pasado en la máxima categoría. Los pupilos de Diego Martínez se adelantaron en el marcador en catorce ocasiones, anotándose una docena de victorias y dos empates, demostrando que su solvencia estaba blindada.
Tres derrotas
El presente curso iba por idénticos derroteros. El Granada había inaugurado el marcador en media docena de partidos, doblegando al rival en cuatro ocasiones y firmando tablas en dos choques, una racha inmaculada que se quebró ante el Celta. Los rojiblancos abrieron la lata a pesar de las ocasiones locales, pero no fueron capaces de preservar su ventaja y terminaron cayendo, algo que únicamente evidencia que este equipo no es infalible.
El tropiezo en Vigo ponía fin a una dilatada racha y suponía la tercera derrota consecutiva en Liga para los granadinos, algo que sólo ha ocurrido en otra ocasión con Diego Martínez al frente. Fue en el curso pasado, cuando el Granada claudicó ante Getafe, Real Sociedad y Valencia, por lo que los rojiblancos tratarán de resurgir en la próxima jornada en el duelo frente al Huesca.
