Andrés Guardado, segundo capitán del Betis, fue el encargado de analizar en los micrófonos de Gol la dura derrota de su equipo frente al Eibar en el Benito Villamarín. El mexicano, que fue titular por primera vez esta temporada, cree que su equipo está a tiempo de revertir la situación, pero necesita una "profunda autocrítica".
"Derrota muy dura. Estamos entrando en una dinámica que a nadie nos gusta. Somos conscientes de eso. Es momento de aguantar, de tragar y de hacer una autocrítica muy profunda para sacar esto adelante. Estamos en un punto de inflexión para saber hacia dónde queremos orientar la temporada. Creo que estamos muy a tiempo todavía. Y a ver si somos capaces de darnos cuenta de en qué estamos fallando, tras estas tres últimas derrotas y revertir la situación", dijo.
"Desgraciadamente estamos acusando de falta de concentración defensiva, cometiendo muchísimos errores individuales que nos están costando muchos goles. Hoy, una pelota parada y un penalti. No estamos como tenemos que estar a la hora de defender y es más que evidente. Los números están ahí y las derrotas cada vez se hacen más pesadas. Así no vamos a llegar a ningún lado", añadió el mexicano.
"Hoy se ha reflejado, hay que aceptar que hoy en día, perdimos un par de pelotas en la salida y ya empezamos con la dinámica de no querer fallar. Jugamos fácil, abusamos de los pelotazos, que no es nuestro juego, y es una clara evidencia de que no estamos confiados con la pelota. Eso hace que las cosas no salgan. Hay que regresar a las bases, saber cuál es nuestra virtud, los jugadores que tenemos sacarle el máximo rendimiento y estaremos más cerca de ganar", insistió.
"¿Cómo se soluciona? Si yo tuviera la tecla... Aunque sea algo muy trillado en el fútbol, estamos en un momento de sacar personalidad, carácter y compromiso en la institución, no queda otra. Cuando vengan los resultados positivos tomaremos confianza y sacaremos nuestro mejor fútbol. En este momento hay que sacar esto a base de garra, compromiso, ser autocríticos, saber en qué estamos fallando... Ir a Osasuna y sacar el resultado", finalizó.
