superlativo abrumaron a un flojo rival que no compareció en el Etihad
A cualquiera le apetece
sumarse a la fiesta cuando se enfrenta al Burnley, un equipo desalmado y
triturado por el City. No hubo color porque la distancia entre uno y otro es
insalvable. Dyche no se atrevió a plantarle cara a Guardiola, simplemente
porque no se creyó que David pudiera ganarle a Goliat. Se vio a un Mahrez
pletórico, superior al resto, agigantado cada vez que se vio cerca del área. El
Burnley, asustadizo, no tuvo respuesta a tanto talento rival (5-0).
El argelino decidió que el
choque acabara pronto. El extremo culminó el castigo del City al Burnley por
una imprudencia defensiva. En tres pases: tac, tac, tac. Ya llegó acomplejado a
Manchester el cuadro de Dyche como para encontrarse el 1-0 de Mahrez, que acabó
por hundirle. No salió más, agazapado atrás, como si todo le viniera grande.
Fue un monólogo de un City que necesitaba una tarde como esta, sin sufrir. Un
triunfo holgado que le permitiera recordar el que fue no hace tanto.

Etihad. Fue tan sobrado el City que ni protestó un tanto que le anularon, algo
dudoso. No iba a ganar ajustado y no era necesario desgastarse por esa
nimiedad. Hasta Mendy dejó su firma antes del receso. El jugador francés cruzó
con calidad tras otro gran pase de De Bruyne, rey de la asistencia. Todo fue
coser y cantar, una tarde placentera, como casi siempre ante el Burnley.
A pesar de que saltó a la
cancha de otra manera en el segundo tiempo, la pesadilla no acabó para el
equipo visitante. Ferran Torres se estrenó en la Premier tras un buen
movimiento de Gabriel Jesus, que no se quedó sin menos nota por no marcar. El
ariete tiene más deberes y ofrece un intangible por más que a veces cueste de
ver.
