Immobile y un tanto de Marco Parolo acercaron un poco más este martes al Lazio
a los octavos de final de la Champions League tras vencer (3-1) el colista
Zenit en el Stadio Olimpico de Roma.
El conjunto de Simone
Inzaghi, que se mantiene segundo en el Grupo F, luchará por el liderato en la
próxima jornada (2 de diciembre) contra el Borussia en Dortmund, que sigue
aventajando en un punto a los de ‘laziales’, mientras que los rusos se jugarán
una plaza para la Europa League ante un Brujas que todavía alberga algunas
opciones de meterse en la siguiente ronda ya que cerrará la fase de grupos ante
el propio Lazio.
La escuadra romana salió
dispuesta a encarrilar el encuentro lo antes posible y solo tardó tres minutos
en abrir el marcador, cuando Ciro Immobile firmó un maravilloso tanto con un
tremendo disparo desde la frontal que clavó en la escuadra tras una asistencia
de Lucas Leiva.
La presión de los romanos
era absoluta y Luis Alberto estuvo a punto de anotar el 2-0, en el minuto 19,
con un remate desde fuera del área, al que respondió Kerzhakov con una gran
intervención. Sin embargo, en el 22’, el guardameta del Zenit no pudo hacer
nada para atajar un derechazo raso del capitán Marco Parolo.
El tanto hizo despertar a
la formación rusa, que recortó distancias apenas tres minutos después (25’) con
un chut a la media vuelta dentro del área del delantero Dzyuba, tras una
asistencia de Rakitskiy, que resultó inalcanzable para Pepe Reina.

Inzaghi buscó un nuevo gol que Joaquín Correa rozó con un disparo que desbarató
Kerzhakov. En el descuento del primer tiempo, el inspirado portero ruso volvió
a lucirse en otra gran ocasión de los locales por medio de Lazzari.
En la reanudación, el
Lazio volvió a marcar a las primeras de cambio. Wilmar Barrios, que tenía una
tarjeta amarilla, se la jugó al cometer un penalti sobre el incisivo Immobile,
al que tocó lo justo para derribarle dentro del área. El propio delantero
italiano transformó la pena máxima con una ejecución perfecta que hizo subir el
3-1 al marcador.
Cuando se cumplía la hora
de partido, Simone Inzaghi y Sergei Semak movieron sus respectivos banquillos
con la intención para refrescar a sus equipos en un encuentro con un alto ritmo
de juego y una posesión del balón alterna. El Zenit incrementó su presión y
trató de meterse en el partido con algunos tímidos disparos que blocó sin
problemas Pepe Reina.
En los instantes finales
de la contienda, Vedat Muriqi, que acababa de sustituir a Immobile, no acertó a
culminar un pase de Luis Alberto ya que se topó con el entonado Kerzhakov, que
evitó que su equipo encajara una goleada en Roma. La útima ocasión clara fue
del Zenit, con un disparo de Driussi que atrapó muy bien Pepe Reina.
