Athletic Club - Betis El chileno cree que deben "hacer una autocrítica fuerte".
Manuel Pellegrini, técnico del Betis, lamentó en los micrófonos de Gol el durísimo correctivo recibido por su equipo frente al Athletic Club. Un 4-0 que deja muy tocado al conjunto verdiblanco y que evidencia los gravísimos problemas defensivos que lo sitúan ya como el equipo más goleado de Primera división, con 21 tantos en contra en 10 jornadas.
"Con tantos goles en contra es muy difícil ser un equipo competitivo, hay que hacer una autocrítica muy fuerte", comenzó diciendo el chileno: "Quizás queremos ser un equipo demasiado ofensivo y tenemos que revisar eso", se planteaba Pellegrini, a quien espera un importante trabajo por delante los próximos días para recuperar la autoestima de su equipo.
"No sé si con nombres o con el sistema, pero hay que hincar el diente en ese aspecto. No se pueden conceder tantos goles. En el primer gol tuvimos mala fortuna, pero después tuvieron los espacios para convertir", admitió el entrenador bético, que cree que su equipo debe "enfocarse en ese problema porque si no es muy difícil que podamos ser competitivos".
"Esta no es la imagen que ha dado el Betis normalmente en este campeonato. Cuando hemos perdido por más goles ha sido por expulsados o por penaltis en contra. Hoy no. A excepción de la mala fortuna del primer gol, el equipo no respondió en ninguna de la facetas", sentenció Pellegrini, cuyo once con importantes cambios no respondió a las expectativas en San Mamés.
