Seguro que un triunfo tan contundente no entraba en ninguna premisa, pero una vez que se tiene tocará disfrutarlo. El técnico explicó la victoria en clave de temporada. Todo lo que dijo en la sala de prensa tenía concepto global. Cree en su equipo y en las posibilidades que le ofrece cualquiera de los torneos en los que competirá hasta el final de temporada. "Hemos tenido acierto. Hemos sido más efectivos que otras veces. También en otras ocasiones el rival con menos llegadas nos ha hecho un gol y nos complica. Garitano insistió en que la trayectoria de su equipo en lo que va de curso debería tener más puntos en la clasificación. "Somos un equipo muy competitivo, ordenado, fiable. Así tenemos que seguir, siempre con las mejoras que tengamos que hacer. Ha habido otros partidos en los que podíamos haber sacado mejor resultado. En la mayoría de partidos que hemos jugado no hemos sido menos que los rivales y creo que deberíamos tener más puntos", indicó. "Hacer cuatro goles para nosotros no es fácil. Necesitábamos ganar este partido. Hemos ganado los tres últimos partidos de casa y hay que hacer la tendencia buena", añadió.
La entrada de Vencedor, Villalibre y Vesga fue analizada en clave de plantilla larga por parte del entrenador, que dejó caer que no tendrá inconveniente en alinearlos más veces desde el inicio. "El que se lo gana sigue. En eso no ha habido problemas. Con cinco cambios participan muchos jugadores. Hemos tenido un calendario con muchos agujeros y tacadas sin jugar y ahora necesitaremos de todos. Confiamos en todos", dijo antes de detenerse en la actuación de Villalibre. Lo hizo para recuperar su vieja teoría de que al ser tan específico a veces (hasta ahora siempre menos ante el Betis) tiene que empezar de suplente "porque ante la carencia de delanteros que tenemos hay que guardar una bala porque entra muy bien desde el banquillo.
