La atacante Marta Vieira,
principal figura de la selección femenina de Brasil, dio positivo para la
covid-19 y será baja para los amistosos ante Ecuador el 27 de noviembre y el 1
de diciembre en Sao Paulo, según informó este sábado la Confederación Brasileña
de Fútbol (CBF).
El órgano rector del
fútbol brasileño comunicó que la delantera fue sometida a la prueba clínica
previa para la presentación del equipo nacional, prevista para este lunes en
Guarulhos, región metropolitana de Sao Paulo y donde realizará los
entrenamientos en la sede deportiva del Corinthians.
Con el positivo de su
principal figura, la sueca Pia Sundhage, seleccionadora de Brasil, convocó este
mismo sábado a la defensora Camila, del local Avaí Kinderman, de Florianópolis,
en sustitución de la número "10".
La CBF indicó que después
de conocerse el positivo para covid-19 de Marta, el cuerpo médico de la
selección notificó a su par del Orlando Pride, club de Estados Unidos en el que
actúa la seis veces considerada mejor jugadora del mundo por parte de la FIFA.
La selección femenina de
Brasil, clasificada para el torneo de fútbol de los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio,
que estaban previstos para julio y tuvieron que posponerse para el otro año por
causa de la pandemia, mantiene su cronograma de preparación para las justas en
territorio nipón.
En el próximo ciclo de
amistosos, Brasil se enfrentará con Ecuador en dos partidos sin público en Sao
Paulo, el primero el 27 de noviembre en el Neo Química Arena, estadio del
Corinthians, y el segundo el 1 de diciembre en el Morumbí, casa del Sao Paulo.
En principio, los dos
amistosos serían ante Argentina, pero el país vecino desistió de los
compromisos por las dificultades logísticas para los entrenamientos y el
desplazamiento a Brasil por causa de la pandemia.
