Domingos Duarte, afirmó que haber debutado con la selección absoluta de su país
es “una sensación espectacular” y destacó que Cristiano Ronaldo, capitán de
Portugal, es “un muy bien tío”, que “siempre te ayuda".

su reciente estreno con la selección lusa.
El central se mostró
“contento” con su debut, que tuvo lugar en el amistoso jugado por Portugal la
pasada semana ante Andorra después de estar “un año yendo” con la selección
absoluta y no haberse estrenado.
Domingos Duarte resaltó, en
declaraciones facilitadas este viernes por el Granada, la figura de Cristiano
Ronaldo, delantero del Juventus de Turín y capitán del combinado portugués.
“Hace ilusión jugar junto a
Cristiano porque es la mayor figura del país. Es un muy buen tío, un muy buen
capitán, y siempre te ayuda y está ahí para darte ánimos”, recalcó.

El defensor del Granada dijo
que "si no hubiera jugado en Primera" con el equipo rojiblanco,
"no hubiera podido debutar" con Portugal, por lo que dio "las
gracias al club, a los compañeros y al cuerpo técnico".
"Estoy creciendo mucho,
soy un jugador más maduro que ha mejorado en varias facetas y en eso me han
ayudado mucho el míster (Diego Martínez) y el club”, agregó.
Centrado de cara al partido
ante el Valladolid
Duarte dejó claro que su debut
con Portugal “ya pasó” y que “lo más importante” ahora es el partido que tiene
el Granada “el domingo contra el Valladolid”, por lo que tienen que estar
“concentrados en lo que viene”.
“Somos un equipo que se adapta
a lo que le propongan. Es bueno que haya muchos partidos, vamos a tener todos
muchos minutos y hay que estar preparados para cuando toque, porque al final
vamos a tener todos oportunidades”, aseveró.
El internacional portugués
consideró que “es bueno que haya competencia dentro del equipo” porque eso
sirve para “mejorar día a día” y afirmó que les queda “mucho camino” por
recorrer en una temporada en la que tienen “muchas cosas por las que luchar”.
