Los positivos de varios
jugadores uruguayos, entre ellos dos del Atlético de Madrid, han desatado la
polémica.
La Asociación Uruguaya de
Fútbol (AUF) fue multada este viernes por el Ministerio de Salud Pública (MSP)
de ese país por incumplir el protocolo sanitario en el Complejo Celeste, lugar
de concentración de las selecciones, en el que se han conocido, hasta el
momento, 16 casos positivos de la covid-19. Entre ellos, los jugadores del
Atlético de Madrid Luis Suár ez y Lucas Torreira.
Así lo informó el ministro de
esa cartera, Daniel Salinas, a través de la red social de Twitter en la que
detalló que la multa asciende a unos 534.000 pesos uruguayos (unos 12.136
dólares).
“MSP multa a la AUF 500
Unidades Reajustables por incumplimiento de protocolos sanitarios en el
Complejo Celeste. Se da vista”, escribió.
La delegación de Uruguay que
afrontó la doble fecha de las eliminatorias sudamericanas del Mundial de Qatar
2022 -para los encuentros frente a Colombia y Brasil- acumula ya 16 casos
positivos, el más reciente conocido fue el del capitán Diego Godín.
El primero que se conoció fue el
de Matías Viña, jugador del Palmeiras brasileño, club que ya registra 15 casos
en los últimos días.
Hasta este momento, los
futbolistas contagiados son: Viña, Rodrigo Muñoz, Alexis Rolín, Luis Suárez,
Diego Rossi, Darwin Núñez, Lucas Torreira, Gabriel Neves, Brian Rodríguez y
Diego Godín.
Preocupa, sin duda, la figura
del seleccionador de Uruguay, Óscar Washington Tabárez, quien tiene 73 años y
una delicada condición física.
Este jueves en diálogo con Efe
el presidente de la AUF, Ignacio Alonso, aseguró que durante la ‘burbuja’
sanitaria se tomaron “todas las precauciones” para evitar el coronavirus.
Además, dijo que “por la
secuencia de la aparición” de los casos positivos, él cree que el contagio se
dio en Colombia, donde la Celeste jugó el primero de los dos partidos.
Por su parte, la prensa
española recogió el malestar del presidente del Atlético de Madrid, Enrique
Cerezo, que subrayó que en Uruguay “no han tenido control”.
“En España hay un control que
cumplir. Aquí los jugadores no se duchan en los vestuarios. Los controlamos
antes y después del partido y del entrenamiento. Los perjudicados somos los
clubes”, dijo.
La covid-19, que la semana
pasada obligó al aplazamiento de los partidos de la jornada por el positivo de
Rodrigo Piñeiro, del Danubio, y que este jueves registró dos afectados más en
ese equipo y en el Plaza Colonia atraviesa la quinta fecha del Torneo
Intermedio uruguayo.
Las bajas por coronavirus de
José Luis Rodríguez y de Nicolás Guirín se suman a las de los internacionales
uruguayos Agustín Oliveros y Gabriel Neves en el Nacional y de Yonatan
Irrazábal y Alexis Rolín en el Rentistas.
