Queiroz en la selección cafetera queda en entredicho
La selección de Ecuador
goleó por 6-1 a la de Colombia, que jugó su peor partido en cuatro décadas y
dejó tambaleando al entrenador portugués Carlos Queiroz este martes en el
encuentro jugado en Quito, que dio inicio a la cuarta jornada de las eliminatorias
sudamericanas del Mundial de Catar.
La Tricolor logró su
tercer triunfo seguido y por ahora subió al segundo lugar de la clasificación
con 9 puntos, mientras el combinado cafetero recibió su segunda goleada al hilo
y se quedó séptimo con 4 enteros.
Ecuador fue una
apisonadora que descompuso fácilmente la defensa de Colombia y anotó los dos
primeros goles del partido entre los minutos seis y nueve.
El 1-0 fue obra de Robert
Arboleda, quien se coló en medio de tres zagueros colombianos y tocó la pelota
de zurda, y el 2-0 lo metió Ángel Mena, también con la izquierda y después de
un mal saque del portero Camilo Vargas que tomó mal parada a toda la defensa.
La Tri siguió jugando a
placer frente a una selección colombiana que no reaccionaba, por lo que el tercer
tanto era cuestión de tiempo y llegó a los 31 minutos luego de una jugada veloz
por la izquierda en la que Michael Estrada recibió un pase desde la izquierda y
definió sin ninguna oposición.
A los 39 minutos llegó el
4-0 parcial, de nuevo en una acción desde el lateral izquierdo en la que Xavier
Arreaga 39 recibió un pase delante del punto de penalti y con la zurda venció a
Vargas.
El resultado llevó a
Queiroz a introducir tres cambios al mismo tiempo: Frank Fabra entró por Johan
Mojica, Luis Zuárez por Johan Mojica y Wilmar Barrios por Matheus Uribe.
Colombia descontó a los
41 minutos en una jugada que pareció de otro partido. Duván Zapata recibió un
pase preciso por primera vez, hizo una doble gambeta en el área y fue derribado
por un defensor ecuatoriano. Penalti. El cobro fue de James Rodríguez, quien
disparó un tiro rastrero colocado al palo derecho del arco ecuatoriano.
El segundo tiempo mostró
una leve reacción de Colombia, pero fue poco lo que duró su intento de
encontrar más goles para evitar el desastre y la humillación.
Ecuador, que cedió la
pelota y se atrincheró en su terreno, volvió a animarse a partir de los 70
minutos y a los 77 consiguió el quinto tanto del duelo, conseguido por Gonzalo
Plata tras una gran maniobra de Mena, la figura de la cancha.
Colombia deambulaba y por
ello recibió el sexto tanto al minuto 90, de nuevo obra de Arboleda, que
celebró bailando con sus compañeros, porque tanto él como la selección tricolor
dieron un baile inolvidable en la cancha del estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado, de
Quito.
